1. Introduction

Welcome to MeetBetween. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle
information when you use our iOS application that helps you find activities and fair meeting spots between multiple
locations.

 

2. Information We Collect

Location Data

MeetBetween can use your device’s location to set a starting point. This only happens when you explicitly tap
“Use Current Location.” Your location is:

  • Used momentarily to set a starting point on the map
  • Requested with “when in use” permission only – never in the background
  • Determined at an accuracy of approximately 100 meters
  • Never stored on your device, sent to our servers, or shared with third parties

You can revoke location permission at any time in your device’s Settings.

Locally Stored Data

MeetBetween stores data on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device
and is not synced to any server or cloud service. Locally stored data includes:

  • Saved Searches – Location names, addresses, coordinates, selected transport mode, and
    timestamp
  • Favorite Activities – Activity name, address, coordinates, category, and timestamp
  • Favorite Locations – Location name, address, coordinates, and timestamp

Search Queries

When you search for locations or activities, MeetBetween uses Apple’s MapKit to perform address autocomplete
and point-of-interest searches. These queries are processed by Apple according to their privacy policy.

Ticket Provider Searches

When browsing available tickets for an activity, MeetBetween queries third-party ticket providers (such as Viator,
GetYourGuide, and Klook) through a secure Cloudflare Worker proxy. These requests:

  • Contain only the activity location and search parameters – no personal data
  • Are anonymous; no user identifiers are included
  • Are authenticated with a server-side API key that is not stored in the app

 

3. What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not require or support user accounts, logins, or registrations
  • We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identifiers
  • We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or advertising IDs
  • We do not use analytics or tracking services
  • We do not display advertisements
  • We do not use third-party SDKs that collect data
  • We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data
  • We do not collect usage statistics, crash reports, or diagnostics

 

4. How Your Data is Used

Your data is used solely to provide the features of the app:

  • Calculate fair meeting points between your chosen locations
  • Display activities and travel times for each starting location
  • Provide directions via Apple Maps or Google Maps
  • Save your favorite activities and locations for quick access
  • Remember your recent searches
  • Show available tickets and pricing from third-party providers

 

5. Third-Party Services

MeetBetween integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Apple MapKit – For maps, address search, autocomplete, point-of-interest filtering,
    and travel time calculations. Apple’s privacy policy governs their handling of this data.
  • Apple CoreLocation – For determining your device’s location when you request it.
    Apple’s privacy policy applies.
  • Viator, GetYourGuide, Klook – For retrieving ticket availability and pricing. Queries
    are routed through our secure proxy and contain only location-based search parameters, not personal data.
  • Cloudflare Workers – As a secure proxy between the app and ticket providers. Cloudflare
    processes requests according to their privacy policy.
  • Google Maps – Optional deeplink for opening directions in Google Maps. No data is
    shared with Google unless you choose to open a link.

MeetBetween does not integrate with any analytics services, advertising networks, social media platforms, or
external data brokers.

 

6. Affiliate Links and Ticket Information

Disclosure: MeetBetween uses affiliate links. When you tap on a
ticket link, you are redirected to a third-party booking platform (such as Viator, GetYourGuide, or Klook).
We may earn a commission if you complete a purchase through these links. This does not affect the price you
pay.

Regarding affiliate links and ticket data:

  • All ticket links in the App are affiliate links
  • The affiliate link does not share any personal information from MeetBetween with the booking platform
  • Ticket prices, availability, descriptions, and images displayed in the App are provided entirely by the
    respective third-party booking platforms – we have no control over this content
  • Prices shown in the App are indicative only and may differ from the actual price on the booking
    platform
  • Once you leave the App to visit a booking platform, that platform’s own privacy policy and terms of
    service apply
  • We are not a party to any transaction between you and a booking platform

 

7. Data Storage and Security

  • Local storage only – All user data (favorites, saved searches) is stored on your
    device using Apple’s SwiftData framework
  • No cloud sync – Your data is not synced to iCloud or any other cloud service
  • No external servers – We do not operate data-storage servers. The only server
    component is a stateless Cloudflare Worker proxy for ticket queries
  • HTTPS encryption – All network communication uses standard HTTPS/TLS encryption

 

8. Data Retention

  • Your locally stored data remains on your device as long as you use the app
  • You can delete individual favorites and saved searches at any time within the app
  • Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device
  • No data is retained on any server, as we do not store data server-side

 

9. Children’s Privacy

MeetBetween is a general-purpose travel utility application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from
children under 13. Since the app does not require an account and we do not collect any personal information from any
user, no personal data of children is transmitted to us.

 

10. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

  • Access and view – All your data is visible within the app (favorites, saved searches)
  • Delete data – Remove individual favorites, saved searches, or uninstall the app to
    delete all data
  • Revoke permissions – Revoke location access at any time through iOS Settings
  • No account to delete – Since no account exists, there is nothing to deactivate or
    request deletion of

 

11. International Users

MeetBetween is available worldwide. All data is processed locally on your device. Network requests to ticket
providers are routed through Cloudflare’s global infrastructure and processed in accordance with
Cloudflare’s privacy policy. No personal data is transferred internationally, as we do not collect personal
data.

 

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date
at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
