1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MeetBetween (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of
Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

 

2. Description of Service

MeetBetween is a free iOS application that helps users find fair meeting spots and activities between multiple
locations. The App calculates midpoints based on travel time fairness and displays nearby activities with travel
information for each participant. Key features include:

• Setting 2 to 5 starting locations by address search or current location
• Calculating fair meeting points based on travel time distribution
• Displaying activities (museums, parks, zoos, attractions, and more) near the midpoint
• Showing travel times and distances for each starting location
• Supporting driving, public transit, and bicycling transport modes
• Browsing ticket availability and pricing from third-party providers
• Saving favorite activities, locations, and recent searches
• Opening directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps

 

3. No Account Required

MeetBetween does not require user registration, login, or an account of any kind. All app features are available
immediately upon installation. Data is stored locally on your device only.

 

4. Free of Charge

MeetBetween is available as a free download through the Apple App Store. There are no in-app purchases,
subscriptions, or premium features. The App may generate revenue through affiliate commissions when users
purchase tickets through links provided in the App (see Section 8).

 

5. Location Services

The App may request access to your device’s location services to determine your current position as a
starting point. This is entirely optional – you can always enter addresses manually. Location access:

• Is only requested when you tap “Use Current Location”
• Uses “when in use” permission only – never background access
• Can be revoked at any time in your device’s Settings

 

6. Accuracy of Information

MeetBetween relies on Apple MapKit for maps, directions, and point-of-interest data. While we strive to present
accurate information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of:

• Travel time and distance estimates
• Midpoint and fairness calculations
• Activity listings, names, addresses, or categories
• Map data and points of interest
• Bicycling time estimates (which are approximated from walking routes)

 

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Verify travel information – Always confirm travel times and routes through official
  navigation tools before departing
• Use the App safely – Do not use the App while driving or operating a vehicle
• Respect local laws – Comply with all applicable traffic and transportation regulations
  when traveling to a meeting point

 

8. Third-Party Ticket Providers and Affiliate Links

MeetBetween displays ticket availability and pricing from third-party providers including Viator, GetYourGuide,
and Klook. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Third-party content – All ticket prices, availability, descriptions, ratings, and
  images are provided entirely by the respective booking platforms. We do not set, verify, or guarantee any
  ticket prices or availability
• Prices are indicative only – Prices displayed in the App are for informational
  purposes only and may differ from the actual price on the booking platform due to currency conversion,
  dynamic pricing, fees, taxes, or other factors. The definitive price is always the one shown on the booking
  platform at the time of purchase
• Affiliate links – All links to booking platforms are affiliate links. We may earn a
  commission if you complete a purchase through these links, at no additional cost to you
• No responsibility for bookings – We are not a party to any transaction between you and
  a third-party booking platform. All bookings, payments, cancellations, and refunds are subject exclusively
  to the terms and conditions of the respective provider. Any disputes regarding a booking must be resolved
  directly with the booking platform
• No guarantee of availability – Ticket availability and pricing shown in the App may
  not reflect real-time data and may differ from what is displayed on the booking platform at the time you
  visit it
• Content changes – Third-party content may change, become unavailable, or be removed
  at any time without notice from us

 

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Modify or create derivative works based on the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality or servers
• Use automated tools or scripts to access the App’s services
• Share, redistribute, or resell the App through unauthorized channels

 

10. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to graphics, designs, icons, user interface, and code, is the
property of Daniël Houben or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use
any content from the App without prior written permission.

Map data, imagery, and point-of-interest information are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms
of use. Ticket content and images are the property of their respective providers.

 

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either
express or implied. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Travel time calculations will be accurate or reflect real-time conditions
• Midpoint calculations will result in objectively fair meeting locations
• Activity listings will be complete, accurate, or up-to-date
• Ticket prices and availability will be accurate or current
• Any defects in the App will be corrected

 

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Daniël Houben, MeetBetween, or any
related parties be liable for any of the following:

• Inaccurate travel information – Including but not limited to incorrect travel times,
  distances, midpoint calculations, or route information that leads to delays, missed appointments, or
  additional travel costs
• Ticket prices and availability – Including any discrepancies between prices or
  availability shown in the App and those on the actual booking platform, or any changes in pricing after
  viewing
• Third-party bookings – Including ticket purchase disputes, cancellations, refund
  issues, payment problems, or any other matter arising from transactions with third-party booking
  platforms
• Loss of data – Including loss or corruption of saved searches, favorites, or
  preferences
• Location issues – Including incorrect location determination or failure of location
  services
• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which damages are sought, including contract, tort,
negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such
damages.

In jurisdictions where limitation of liability for certain damages is not permitted, our liability shall be
limited to the maximum extent allowed by law.

 

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Daniël Houben and MeetBetween from and against any claims,
damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your reliance on information provided by the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

 

14. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, update, or discontinue the App at any time
• Change features, functionality, or user interface
• Add or remove supported ticket providers
• Adjust activity categories or search parameters
• Fix bugs and improve performance

We will endeavor to provide continued support and updates, but make no guarantees regarding future development.

 

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated”
date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We
encourage you to review these terms periodically.

 

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to
its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to
the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

 

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or
eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and
effect.

 

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us
regarding the use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
